France remains in first place in ESNA’s 2024 ranking

For the second year running, France is in first place in the European Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA) 2024 report.

The ESNA report highlights the progress made in the 24 European member countries of the organisation in creating start-ups and deploying ecosystems favourable to their development. The ranking is a strategic reference for guiding public policy on innovation, based on 8 criteria:

• Fast startup creation
• Attracting and retaining talent
• Stock-Options
• Innovation in regulation
• Innovation in procurement
• Access to Finance
• Social inclusion, diversity and protecting democratic values
• Digital first
