Dematerialization of resident card application and renewal procedures

Since July 4, 2024, most resident card renewal applications can be initiated via the Foreign nationals in France | Home (interieur.gouv.fr) 

 These include: 

• The 10-year resident card with the words “long-term resident-EU” 
• The 10-year resident card for foreign nationals who meet the conditions for obtaining French nationality   
• The 10-year residence permit for family reasons (family reunification, foreign national married to a French national, etc.) 
• The 10-year residence certificate for Algerian nationals 
• The 10-year resident card provided with bilateral agreements between France and Morocco, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Togo.    

Also, the permanent resident card for an indefinite period of time is to be requested via the Foreign nationals in France | Home (interieur.gouv.fr)
