New welcometofrance.com website launched

The French Minister for the Economy and Finance, Michel Sapin, made a special visit to Business France’s headquarters on February 23 to mark the launch of the new “Welcome to France” website, which provides essential information for foreign nationals and their families relocating to France.

The new site – welcometofrance.com – not only includes a guide to the practical steps and procedures to be completed before moving to France, but is also backed by an online service to respond to visitor queries.

Subjects covered by the new site include:

• Visas, residence permits and work permits
• Taxation
• Social protection
• Day-to-day life (accommodation, education, etc.)

A new team of international mobility specialists has been formed to operate the “Welcome Office” service and respond to queries submitted by email on the “Welcome to France” website.
