Resident’s permit applications for British citizens living in France

British citizens who settled in France before January 1, 2021 and their family members who benefit from the agreement of withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union still have a few days to apply for their residence permit.

The closing date of the service allowing the submission of an application for a residence permit or travel document in this context has been extended to October 4, 2021.

The application must be made on the dedicated website before this date: https://contacts-demarches.interieur.gouv.fr/brexit/brexit-residence-permit-application/ 

Also, the date by which they must be in possession of a residence permit has been postponed from October 1, 2021 to January 1, 2022. Their residence, work and social rights are therefore maintained until December 31, 2021.
